Our Self–Trim Wick Is Designed To Produce
A Very Consistent Curl
The Self–Trim line of wick was developed for use in tapers and candlesticks. Our balanced construction is designed to produce a gentle curl that is Self–Trimming and will not over curl. Fil–Tec’s scientifically engineered chemical treatment reduces afterglow, enhances the Self–Trimming and helps control the curl. The wick’s open construction allows for better capillary flow when using heavily scented paraffin, vegetable based and beeswax wax blends. Our Patented construction also delivers a consistent rate of consumption. Filf–Tec Self–Trim wick offers a higher yield than conventional braided wick, which means lower material costs and longer production runs.
Our Self–Trim candlewick is available on 95% break–free spools or waxed and tabbed to your manufacturing requirements.
Self–Trim Wicks
Our product description is very “user-friendly”. The description represents the 2 hour pool diameter in a 140° melt point straight cut paraffin wax. This method allows the user to easily compare wick size and performance. This chart provides the candle maker a starting point for wick selection. Your wick selection will depend on wax blend, color and scent additives.
